Annual Conference 2018

Generations/Generaciones: Call for Workshop Proposals

Every year WCSAP hosts a conference for its friends and supporters, and as always, we look to you to share your knowledge of best practices, current trends, and innovative topics. Below you will find the application process for submitting your workshop proposal(s).  Please consider being a trainer at the 2018 WCSAP Annual Conference "Generations/Generaciones"

Conference Themes and Goals (RFP Guidance)

We invite you to join us at this year’s Annual Conference, “Generations/ Generaciones,” to honor and explore the role we each play in this intergenerational movement to end sexual violence. From Rosa Parks to Opal Tometi; the passage of Title IX to the fight for transgender bathroom access; consciousness-raising groups to hashtags. Our leaders, our issues, and our activism are our legacy.

We stand on the shoulders of great leaders and build upon their wisdom to seek innovative strategies to address sexual violence across the lifespan. We know that when sexual violence intersects with societal influences of ageism and adultism, that it impacts victimization, access and approach to services, and visions of social change.

We strive for solidarity across generations, gender, race, class, sexual orientation, and country of origin. At a time when our work might feel hardest, we raise each other up. We mentor and are mentored. We hold the generations of survivors at our center.

The WCSAP Annual Conference is a place for us to come together in this intergenerational movement, from cherished trailblazers to our future leaders, to share, discuss, and explore the connections and creative solutions essential to our efforts to end sexual violence.
