Workshop Description
This three day Train-the-Trainer’s course is designed to familiarize trainers with the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs’ Advocate Core Training. This program seeks to strengthen the collective skill level of sexual assault agencies by: enhancing the capacity of trainers to design and provide highly engaging, interactive Advocate Core Trainings within their own communities; providing existing trainers with new training tips, techniques and presentation skills; enhancing a sexual assault agency’s ability to reach the ever-changing population of volunteers. It is appropriate for program directors, volunteer coordinators and anyone else who has sufficient knowledge about sexual assault to provide standardized 30-hour Advocate Core Training.
This training is required for Community Sexual Assault Programs who wish to partner with the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs on an Advocate Core Training.
