Workshop Description
This hands-on, highly interactive workshop will help facilitators learn both the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively facilitate and design psycho-educational support groups. The workshop is divided into two sections. The first section will help facilitators understand the characteristics of psycho-educational support groups, learn facilitator fundamentals and group dynamics. The second section walks participants through all the steps necessary to design a curriculum for specific populations. By the end of the workshop participants will leave with several curricula outlines.
This workshop is limited to 30 participants. Participants must commit to attending both days. Due to the popularity of this training we can only initially accept one participant from each organization. Additional potential registrants will be placed on waiting list.
