Funding Admin and Overhead Costs in Government Grants and Contracts - Making the Uniform Guidance Work for Your Nonprofit

Description:

Learn how your organization can get the maximum benefit from the Uniform Guidance, OMB’s new rules for federal agencies and state and local government pass-throughs that fund nonprofits including sexual assault programs. The new rules define four possible methods for nonprofits to get paid for their essential administrative and overhead costs. This webinar is designed to help each participant evaluate which method will work best for their organization.  The session will include step-by-step guidance for making the changes needed in your systems and contracts to get the maximum benefit from the new rules.

Topics will include:

  • Your current approach to charging administrative, overhead, shared, or indirect costs to governmental awards and contracts
  • New opportunity to use the 10 % de minimis rate to recover “indirect” costs
  • Pros and cons of negotiating a federal indirect cost rate
  • Using cost allocation (direct charging) rather than an indirect rate
  • How to choose the best method for your organization and implement your choice
