New Prevention Mentorship Program!

WCSAP is excited to launch a new initiative to support preventionists across Washington State! The goal of this mentorship program is to support statewide prevention capacity by providing opportunities to engage in hands-on learning of prevention in practice. Through facilitating relationships between preventionists, this mentorship program will help staff who are newer to primary prevention enhance the skills necessary to engage in primary prevention programming with their community. We also believe that mentors will benefit from the relationship by deepening their understanding of their work and developing valuable leadership skills as a mentor.

WCSAP will match mentors and new preventionists based on identified similar community types, programming interests, populations, and other information in the application. Selected participants in the program will receive programming support and financial incentives from WCSAP. Please review the Program Overview below for full details on qualifications to participate, program expectations, and incentives for participants.

Please submit an application by July 31, 2017.
