News from the Hill - Final Budget Passed!

Dear Friends,

Together we did it!

Yesterday (4-11-12) the legislature passed an agreed upon budget in the early morning hours.

The final budget maintained sexual assault funding and other victim service funding. This was an undoubtedly tough budget climate and session. Thank you everyone for your ongoing advocacy and response to alerts. Together as coalitions and advocates the voices and needs of victims was heard.

With special session at a close, we will be sending a session in review document soon which discusses the session and passed bills. Stay tuned for that!
