We are seeking part time International Advocates to join our team. Pathways empowers victims of interpersonal & gender based violence abroad. Pathways undertakes the global challenge of assisting victims who are enduring extreme suffering in isolated situations where support seems minimal and many obstacles block the path to safety. Services are provided 24/7/365 via technology on a global scale to American victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and forced marriage. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Provide immediate support and crisis triage to American victims of sexual assault and domestic violence abroad through multiple technology portals including live chat, a Global Safety App, an international toll free hotline 833-SAFE-833 and other platforms. • Determine eligibility for services, make referrals for non-eligible callers or handover to a Pathways case manager if the survivor is eligible for services and wants on-going support. • Assist case managers with research, data entry, calling community partners in the USA and abroad and other crisis support as needed.

We are currently searching for case managers to join our team! We have openings on the swing shift (2pm - 10:30pm) and overnight shift (10pm - 6:30am) Our case managers are responsible for handling highly complex, international sexual assault and domestic violence cases for American survivors living and traveling in foreign countries. Case management services are delivered via an international toll free domestic violence/sexual assault hotline, 833-SAFE-833, crisis emails and live chat on the organization's website. The crisis center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct case management over the national/international toll free hotline, by email and live chat • Ability to conduct safety planning and lethality assessments • Advocate on behalf of survivor with third parties, including attorneys, government entities and other social service providers in the USA and foreign countries • Maintain case records and enter organizational data into secure database • Determine level of support services needed including emergency assistance, basic needs, danger to safety relocation, legal assistance, housing and/or counseling • Identify and locate appropriate resources for clients in the USA and in foreign countries • Uphold stringent confidentiality policies and maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards in all areas of their work

Description:
The DVSAS Behavioral Health Program will improve access to behavioral health services and will increase the effectiveness of these programs for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation. The Behavioral Health Program Coordinator (BHPC) provides advocacy services to DVSAS clients with mental health or substance abuse issues, connects those clients to outside resources, and coordinates ongoing client access to mental health and behavioral health services. This position is located within the Safe Housing Program (SHP), which provides emergency, confidential safe shelter to clients who are homeless due to domestic violence. The Behavioral Health Program Coordinator in the SHP will manage a caseload of clients that are currently or were recently in the SHP and will also assist the SHP team in its daily operations, including providing general advocacy, responding to safe housing referrals, managing interpersonal conflicts, and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment for clients.
