Shanette Green Professional Development Scholarship

Shanette Green was a much loved employee of the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, who passed away in February, 2004. In addition to her bright personality, Shanette offered many gifts of her humor, her warmth, and her support of our work to end sexual violence. During the course of her professional development at the coalition, Shanette had several opportunities to travel to conferences to expand her skills and network with other activists in the movement. As a result, Shanette observed that opportunities to attend conferences and trainings were often rare for administrative support staff. Unequivocally, Shanette touched our hearts and she will forever remain a guiding symbol of strength and love.

This scholarship is in her honor to provide similar opportunities for administrative staff working in our movement to end sexual violence.
