What is Cyberstalking?

Cyberstalking is the use of Internet or other electronic communication devices to stalk someone. Cyberstalking is also a crime in Washington State.  Cyberstalkers may use email, chat rooms, social networking sites and other tools to monitor, harass, embarrass or threaten their victims.  Contact your local law enforcement or the Seattle FBI office to get help.

Don't let Facebook, MySpace or other social networking sites invade your privacy and facilitate stalking. Read the privacy policy and use the privacy settings. Take the "What Do Quizzes Really Know About You" a quiz developed by ACLU and prepare to be shocked.

Social networking sites make it easy to connect with others, but we also put a tremendous amount of information about ourselves out there. Check out this humorous (and too true) take from The Onion.
