Description

Our advocacy-based counseling continues to be informed by research and information about trauma, but what does it look like in practice to be trauma-informed? Furthermore, what does trauma-informed advocacy look like with children and young people? In this webinar we will:

Objectives

  • Explore the impact of childhood trauma: physically, mentally, emotionally, developmentally, and behaviorally.
  • Identify some of the ways that trauma manifests in young people.
  • Apply this information about trauma to our advocacy skills, and take away practical skills for advocacy with young people.
