Brief Job Description

Key Tasks Include:
o Implement the OutSpoken LGBTQ Youth Leadership Program regionally; coordinating and leading trainings, panels, as well as 1:1 development meetings with facilitators and youth in the program.
o Organize and track program participation and coordinate monthly payroll for program leaders.
o Coordinate the on-going program evaluation and continued development of OutSpoken.
o Facilitate the growth and on-going development of the NWN’s Youth Leadership Board
o Advance the NWN’s outreach and engagement strategies to LGBTQ youth.
o Network, klatch, chat, engage, etc. and otherwise be of and for diverse LGBTQ communities;

Required Qualifications:
o Knowledge of teen dating violence, domestic violence, sexual violence, hate violence, stalking and abuse.
o Demonstrates a deep commitment to the empowerment of LGBTQ youth and survivors of violence.
o Strong critical thinking, active listening and problem-solving skills to address complex situations.
o Experience working in diverse LGBTQ community contexts- especially with LGBTQ youth.
o Strong writing and verbal communication skills, including facilitating & creating materials for panel presentations.
o Ability to work in both office and ‘field’ settings.
o Competence with basic office systems (computers, copiers, Office programs, etc.) and database maintenance.
o Working car, current drivers' license, insurance and/or skill using public transportation.
