Brief Job Description

Classification: FT Non-Exempt, 35 hrs./wk.
Responsible To: Program Director
Wage: $18-$20/hr.

General responsibilities: As a member of the staff team, the Legal Justice Advocate is responsible for collaborating with Northwest Justice Project Attorneys in an innovative program to provide outreach, legal advocacy, and other supportive services to underserved victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who face barriers to accessing services. Targeted populations include immigrants, tribal members, migrant workers, and isolated rural residents. The Legal Justice Advocate is also responsible for working with the SDVSAS Legal Services Coordinator in networking with law enforcement, the courts, and other agencies to enhance system response to victims.
