Brief Job Description

Turning Pointe’s Youth Advocate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive, evidence-based menu of domestic violence/sexual assault (DV/SA) client service programs for children and youth in Mason County. The Youth Advocate will provide direct support to young people (shelter residents and walk-in clients) in need of services as a result of domestic, family, and/or teen dating violence, and, will actively participate in Turning Pointe’s plans to hire a part time, bilingual Spanish Youth Advocate located in the Belfair, WA satellite office.
Building and maintaining working relationships with Turning Pointe’s community partners, through strategic and targeted outreach, in the county’s school districts, family support service organizations, city and county health agencies, law enforcement, the county prosecutor’s office and social service agencies will be a critical deliverable for the Youth Advocate.
