Brief Job Description

The mission of the DV Commission is to coordinate and inspire community efforts to address sexual and domestic violence. The Director is responsible for the overall administration and management of the Commission’s programs and operations, in conjunction with Commission members. The Director also acts as a leader and expert on sexual and domestic violence for Commission members and the community.
This is a full time, exempt position hired and supervised by the Executive Committee of the DV Commission. The position of DV Commission Director is funded primarily through the City of Bellingham and Whatcom County. The DV Commission offers employee medical benefits, retirement, an employee assistance program, and paid vacation and sick leave. The DV Commission will offer up to $5,000 towards initial moving expenses.
