The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Project Director will report to the Director of the Women’s Center and will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive risk reduction and violence prevention programs and advocacy services targeted toward the entire university community, with particular emphasis on underserved student populations, including Latinx, Native American, international, and LGBTQIA+ students, and students with disabilities. The OVW Project Director will plan, coordinate, and deliver campus domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking prevention programs with education initiatives developed for faculty, staff, and students. The OVW Project Director will supervise a team of campus and community responders to develop culturally-responsive violence prevention programming and support services for the campus community. The OVW Project Director will also co-facilitate and develop nationally recognized student bystander intervention programs that empower individual action and encourage peer accountability within underserved communities. The OVW Project Director will seek additional grant funding as needed, and will supervise all grant funded programs and activities.
