Around the nation, and now in Washington State, there has been a push for more comprehensive prevention efforts by providing saturated resources. This model allows for more robust staff and agency time and resources to invest in prevention. With this shift there may be questions about how to design this type of comprehensive prevention programming on the ground.
This webinar will provide an overview of the guidance within our state and share stories from other states about local programming that is saturated and comprehensive. Preventionists from Missouri, North Carolina, and Oregon will provide profiles of local programs with resources and goals similar to the RPE funding in Washington State. These profiles will provide tangible examples of a variety of comprehensive primary prevention work; including prevention budgets and staff time, how communities are chosen, targeted messages, scope of activities, and evaluation efforts. Additionally, the preventionists will share their lessons learned and tips for success from working with their local programs. Please join us to hear stories of diverse prevention efforts and ask questions to help support your prevention planning!
