Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs (WCSAP)
Born into the world as a refugee, Valériana Chikoti-Bandua hails from the country of Angola. She was born in Zambia but subsequently raised in Papua New Guinea as her family fled the Angolan civil war in hopes to start life over. She holds a Master’s Degree from Florida International University in global Governance and International Security. Valériana’s professional experience ranges from formally being a co-owner of Etali design and Consulting LLC, to serving Angola as a human rights diplomat in the UN to delivering a TED talk titled protect the girl child. She is an accomplice to front line fighters of the anti-sexual violence movement especially for immigrant communities and in particular women of color.
Currently, she holds the Interim Co-Executive Director position with Michelle Dixon-Wall.
