This workshop will explore tips and tricks for more digitally focused prevention. This may be especially helpful as prevention plans are adjusted in response to current social distancing but will also provide valuable approaches to keep in your toolbox going forward. Presenters will share and discuss several tools to use while engaging in prevention efforts virtually, including digital art practices and engaging and accessible online facilitation. Participants will also have opportunities for peer learning, resource sharing, and building connections in breakout rooms.
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain the value of creating art for social change.
- Utilize at least one tool for dynamic online facilitation.
- Identify one source for prevention peer support.
Priority registration will be given to Office of Crime Victims Advocacy (OCVA) sexual assault services and prevention grantees [and Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Program (WCSAP) members]. All other registrants will be admitted on a space available basis. Registration is subject to the approval of WCSAP.
