Event Type

Join us every Tuesday in January for one or all of this series on sexual assault advocacy when we wear many hats of service provision types! Register for the series and attend the sessions of most interest to you.

January 5:

Meaningful services for survivors of sexual violence tend to their physical, social, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs for healing.  This webinar is intended to help programs explore how to best meet these needs.  Bring your experiences, questions, and curiosity! Register for this session.

January 12:

An interactive discussion about engaging in conversations with domestic violence survivors about intimate partner sexual violence and lifetime experience with sexual violence. Bring your questions, experiences, and curiosity to this dialogue about building comprehensive sexual assault services. Register for this session.

January 19:

Helplines are a connection to safety and comfort, a valuable source of information, and an entry to advocacy services. In this interactive workshop, we will explore how to apply the concepts of trauma-informed care to our communication and advocacy skills with survivors in crisis, paying particular attention to how the helpline can be a source of connection and empowerment for all survivors in the community. Register for this session.

January 26:

The feeling of justice is a very personal one. While for some a guilty verdict in a criminal justice process can ease the fear of not being believed, survivors report that it often doesn’t feel like justice. As survivor-centered services we need to be engaged in broader thinking related to the experiences of justice as defined by survivors. Join WCSAP and the Sexual Violence Law Center to discuss Civil Legal options for survivors. Register for this session

All sessions 10 am - noon Pacific.

Registration is subject to the approval of WCSAP.

Online via Zoom.
