The Role: The Victim Advocate provides support, crisis intervention, accompaniment, and general, medical, and legal advocacy for primary and/or secondary survivors of traumas/crimes other than sexual violence. Provides some sexual assault victim advocacy on crisis line and at local emergency departments as a part of the team coverage rotation. Collaborates with medical, criminal and civil justice providers, and other systems as appropriate and when requested by survivors and/or the community. Provides systems coordination to ensure the needs of survivors are heard.
