Director of Prevention, Health & Wellness University of Washington Bothell

Brief Job Description

The Director of Prevention, Health, and Wellness is situated within UW Bothell’s Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. This position provides strategic direction and oversight for UWB’s efforts to build a healthy campus community free of harm, where students have access to resources that support their physical and mental wellbeing.
This position is new to UW Bothell and represents the campus’s commitment to providing critical wellness and support resources to students. The person in this role will be responsible for continuing to build the Prevention, Health, and Wellness unit and determining how it fits into the rest of the EMSA and UWB landscape. There are many opportunities within this role to collaborate across the shared UWB and Cascadia campus as well as at the tri-campus level. This position oversees two offices that serve both Cascadia and UWB students.

The Director’s portfolio consists of the Health and Wellness Resource Center (HaWRC) and the Violence Prevention & Advocacy Program (VPA). Both of these programs require that the Director supervise professional staff, provide mentorship to staff who themselves supervise other staff and student staff/interns, manage the compliance and reporting procedures for multiple complex funding streams, guide strategic programmatic direction in alignment with other campus and community initiatives, and maintain intentional and collaborative relationships with partners at Cascadia College.
